  • Have Inspiration pics or ideas ready.
  • Have table space clear and ready upon arrival as to not cause delays. (Natural light preferred)
  • Hair MUST BE CLEAN AND DRY. Shampoo 2x night prior, scrubbing scalp, light conditioner on middle to ends of hair only. Blow out smoothly.  Do NOT iron your hair or apply heavy products.
  • Button Down/ Robe recommended. 
  • Clean and Exfoliate Face. No Products on.  (AVOID Retin-A 1 week prior)
  • Groom Eyebrows
  • Kindly ask to refrain from Phone use and eating while in the makeup chair.
  • Following instructions will get you the best results.
  • Balances should be ready to go if not already paid prior.
  • Add ons: Airbrush$. Clip in Extentions Install$ ( Extra fee) 
  • Valet will be charged to your room ( ask for vendor waive if possible)

Wrinkle Relaxer (Botox/Dysport/Xeomin)

2–3 Weeks Before the Event

Microdermabrasion

What it is: Physical exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and improves texture.
Makeup benefit: Smooths rough patches so foundation sits evenly without clinging or flaking.


7–10 Days Before the Event

Hydrafacial (Optional Second Session)

What it is: A gentle resurfacing and hydration treatment safe close to events.
Makeup benefit: Boosts glow and hydration for fresh, luminous skin under makeup.


3–5 Days Before the Event

Dermaplaning

What it is: Removal of peach fuzz and dead skin using a sterile blade.
Makeup benefit: Foundation glides on flawlessly, powders blend seamlessly, and skin looks ultra-smooth on camera.


1–2 Days Before the Event

Things to Avoid

1–2 Weeks Before

  • New skincare products or active ingredients
    (retinol, acids, vitamin C if not already using)
    Can cause irritation, purging, or dryness that shows under makeup.

  • Aggressive treatments
    (chemical peels, lasers, microneedling)
    May cause redness, peeling, or sensitivity.

  • Over-exfoliating
    Leads to raw skin and makeup separation.


5–7 Days Before

  • Waxing or threading the face
    Can cause redness, broken skin, or texture.

  • Strong acne spot treatments
    Often cause flaking that makeup can’t hide.

  • Heavy self-tanner on the face
    May fade unevenly or cling to dry patches.


3–5 Days Before

  • At-home dermaplaning or shaving if not experienced
    Risk of irritation or cuts.

  • Facials with extractions
    Can leave marks or swelling.


1–2 Days Before

  • Trying new makeup or skincare products
    Risk of reactions or breakouts.

  • Alcohol and excessive salt
    Can cause dehydration and facial puffiness.

  • Picking at skin or blemishes
    Creates texture makeup cannot cover.


Day of the Event

  • Heavy oils, slugging, or greasy moisturizers
    Can cause foundation to slide or break apart.

  • Ice rollers or extreme heat
    May trigger redness or sensitivity.

  • Overloading skincare
    Too many layers can cause pilling under makeup.
